Observation notes: I work in a butterfly house at a nursery in southern Michigan. A family found this little guy just outside the butterfly house by the trees, caught him and was planning to release him. Naturally, I brought him in with the others and snapped some pictures as I had never seen a moth quite like this one before, and I think he's probably my new favorite. As it was early in the day (and overcast, no less), he was sleepy and reclusive.
