Observation notes: My original observation was on the Lake Superior sand beach behind my home. The moth was on the sand, not moving. I find many moths and butterflies on the beach during and after stormy weather. I moved it into my garden to protect it from high northeast winds and drizzle. My garden has a host of butterfly, moth and bee friendly plants.
