Observation notes: They were hidden under the leaves on my passionflower citrina plant. I found them when I was pruning the plant, that I keep on a vine in a container. I keep milkweed and other host plants. I've noticed the monarch caterpillars are not shy. They don't hide, like these caterpillars were clearly trying to do. I found them on the passionflower citrina and other plants close to it are purple porterweed, dutchman's pipevine, milkweed, sweet almond bush, jasmine, buddleia, lemongrass, and pentas(red, pink, and white).
