Observation notes: We captured a tent caterpillar and placed it in a jar. We put grass and a twig from the yard to feed it. It formed its cocoon, which seems to be still intact, but now this moth is also in the jar - perhaps from a cocoon in a folded leaf from the twig that we had added to the jar as food? The moth is on a Dakota Pinnacle Birch leaf.
