Black-waved Flannel Moth
Lagoa crispata

Observation date: September 19, 2015
Submitted by: Rhonda Johnson
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The underside was creamy white and very grub-like. As you can see, it has web-like material coming out of its front end. It was extremely clingy to the table and did not want to be lifted up. It moved along very slowly. I saw this at the picnic area at Prince William National Park. Nice warm day today. There were not many plants around other than short grass and the trees.
