Pacific Dotted-Blue
Euphilotes enoptes

Observation date: June 26, 2015
Submitted by: TPeterson
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Clear, warm, sunny day. Hi, Ken! I had not considered ancilla, as it is not shown in the Lassen County Checklist. I see now that its only California sightings shown in BAMONA's data base are to the south and east (Yosemite NP and Eastern Sierra, over by Mono Lake). Do you really think that this might be ancilla rather than enoptes?
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Based on association with E. nudum complex, this likely is enoptes. Ancilla should be in Lassen County too. I think it is in Kern and Tulare County as well as there are "comstocki" with enoptes genitalia-Ken Davenport
