Observation notes: Very warm and sunny morning here. We had a pressure-washing crew outside, and while watching through my window I noticed 'something' fluttering, trying to find a calm hiding space. I stopped operations, rescued the moth, and placed it in our front shade garden. It remained there until at least 4pm. At first it didn't like being carried away, but then it refused to climb off of my hand. I had to slowly coax it onto the lower lattice wood. It tucked its head and antennae down. I would check back every 30 minutes or so, and the moth remained in that spot. I took several pictures.
