Observation notes: Saw in mixed coniferous forest about 7000'-7500' elevation below Ross' saddle on the east side of the Bridger Range in southwest Montana. It was a warm sunny summer day.

Coordinator notes: The adult Proserpinus flavofasciata has not previously been documented in Montana. However, it has been documented in Alberta. Its habitat (as provided by the E. H. Strickland Entomology museum, U of Alberta) "Clearings, edges and openings in boreal and mountain forests" matches the habitat you found it in. Bob Martin
