  Sighting 1406506

Observation date: July 08, 2025
Submitted by: Dogoszhi
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Observed on a dead twig at the edge of a large empty lot with flowering plants, especially horsetail milkweed. Note the slender, slightly curved item among the legs. I think this may be a cactus spine that has embedded itself into the monarch's thorax. Sunny, hot, calm.
Status: Temporary Colonist
