Black Swallowtail
Papilio polyxenes

Observation date: June 03, 2025
Submitted by: Gordon Berman
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Other than what looked like a couple of small blues fluttering at a distance, this was the only BF I saw all day as I visited Three Rivers Petroglyphs, drove up to White Mt Wilderness (numerous roadside thistles, but no bugs), then walked Dune Life Nature Trail at WSNP. The BF was on a creosote flower.
