Observation notes: This was one of seven individuals seen flying, alighting on rocks and basking along the trail in Bear Canyon. We first saw the species on March 1 in Black Canyon (also in Santa Fe National Forest), and at several other locations subsequently, but this was the first that I was able to photograph.
