Observation notes: Individual - cruising wide area of tundra/forest on warm day at Lake Irene area of Rocky Mountain National Park. Landed off trail; so to avoid damage to fragile area, I used telephoto and enlarged its section of the picture . As a result the quality less than perfect!

Coordinator notes: The Smintheus Parnassian, a female. She is probably searching for a place to lay eggs.....they usually lay them nearby the host (Sedum). Mike
