Identification: Pure white above with black tip to forewing.
Wing Span: 1 1/4 - 2 inches (3.0-5.0 cm).
Life History: Males patrol in heavy second growth or forest understory, usually in light openings.
Flight: All year in tropical habitats.
Caterpillar Hosts: Cassias.
Adult Food: Flower nectar.
Habitat: Tropical forests and second growth.
Range: South Texas (rare stray) south through West Indies and mainland tropical America to Brazil.
Conservation: None needed for rare tropical stray.
NCGR: G-5. Demonstrably secure globally, though it may be quite rare in parts of its range, especially at the periphery
