Observation notes: This species was in a massive outbreak all over the Mt Spokane area, upwards of 4000 ft. Very warm, dry conditions, with the insects nectaring on varied flowers, like dogbane, everlasting and senecio, and/or mating in clumps. Birds had taken notice, and were flocking in for a meal.
