Observation notes: Large 2 1/2 inch larva was walking on paved walkway in 25C temperatures probably looking for a pupation site in the ground. Large host plant of Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia)nearby. Will keep larva for a few days to see if it will pupate.Not a common insect in Greater Sudbury.
