Observation notes: Caterpillar is about 2" long, found near Engelmann's Ivy on my back porch. Looks like it has a smile/wide mouth, although I didn't see it open. Protuberance on head is three black iridescent circular bumps joined by the bump. Underside is slightly pink. It turned over immediately when I flipped it over, and kept curling as shown with raised "head."
