Observation notes: I'm not sure of the plant the caterpillar was resting on, but he was there when I went up and when I went down the mountain. I wish I would have taken more photos of him but I wasn't thinking far enough ahead at the time. It could have been a Black Eyed Susan but was not in bloom. Cone Flowers were also in the area. It was cloudy and rainy that day.
