Observation notes: said to be the only butterfly with tan forelegs warm day 87 high we saw trees with five or more of these chasing each other around mostly up very, hard to view or take photo's of. oak pine cedar, white fur, sugar pines jefferies pines chicka pin oak is what i have always heard these oaks called up northern cal and oregon, down here its hard to get an id on these trees. in my mind they will always have the native american name my friend told me. very little nectar. slight seep in some creeks mostly dry.
