Observation notes: Beautiful and large. Feathery antennae. Found on my residential front porch; subject was moving very slowly, with torn wings, and appears to have perished during the photo session; emphasized by the animal folding the winds upward and together. Photo was taken with the blooms of Caragana arborescens (Siberian pea shrub), a plant species within a meter of found specimen, and a US quarter for comparison. Also attached is a macro photo is of the animal's antennae, a beautiful feathered pattern. Contact me for additional macro photography of the subject, if interested.
