Coordinator notes: John, the Apodemia complex is not completely clear. What you photographed is currently called Apodemia mejicanus. Apodemia mormo occurs farther to the NW, has a single brood that flies in late summer, and has a darker ground color. A. mejicanus in your area has a fall brood as well.
