Observation notes: hot day at least mid eighties 1403-1415 very little nectar except along road way where native shrubs are blooming, this was along a stream bank. some seasonal pools year round. even on a dry year so far? clear skies. this moth seemed week, chased it down and it played dead. got lots of shots about two inches across. ceaonthous blooming with white flowers and some buck wheat, deer weed , black sage was a favorite today , saw elfin, sleepy orange elfin and moths using nectar of deer weed, but mostly black sage, seemed to be the favorite will post butterflies also oh yea and sara orange tip.
