Observation notes: high mid seventies, during heat wave temps have been running ten digress above normal for about two weeks, it has even gotten up to mid eighties. Will raise these up to confirm id. have seen these in other websites and in books. its on cheese weed, could not get any clear shots through its thick silk house. we have west coast ladies and painted ladies hill topping near by, both seem to be year round when you can fine there host plants have raised west coast ladies several times. It has been very dry, driest year on ,record to date. as per weather channel. since records have been kept. just a few light sprinkles very few places with host plants doing well. most are dried up or just barley sprouted. we get lots of nettles some mallow and cheese weed and lots of others if it rains? larva are still small just about an inch. give them about a month or so. in the witness protection program! hatched and to my suprise it is a west coast lady
