Observation notes: on alkali, warm sunny day lots of butterflies after nectar. it rained a few days after mid week light rain and windy. but this day was warm. they seem to get more active on nectar, must be able to sense storms coming. we saw queens great purple hair streak ledia mini streak blues and more great day lots of butterflies and blooms. plant life was doing well even some annuals in bloom. vallecito stage co park s-2 hwy borrego desert state park.
