Observation notes: I don't actually know much about insects, but the one in the photograph is what I believe to be a moth which flew into my house. The picture isn't the greatest quality, but the insect has white wings which are lined with black, a similarly white body, and on one side (I couldn't determine whether this was its head or tail) it has this ball of orange antenna-like structures which move around and seem to respond to the air currents from my fan. The head/ tail-like structure that they're attached to also moves left and right regularly.
