Observation notes: In a massed group on a young pin oak in yard. Near woods. Group has stripped upper branches of their leaves. Edit: Checked tree 6/6/13 and it was about 1/2 stripped from top down. Could find NO signs of the caterpillars on the tree or ground that I had seen earlier - although there had been masses totaling easily 100+ individuals prior.
