Observation notes: found on the ground next to a pine tree. it headed straight for it. got there and started climbing up. it was about 2 inches long and about a half inch wide. it was healthy as far as i could tell it was at our riverside cottage in McAllister Wisconsin. it was mid day. sunny about 85-90 degrees F that day.
