Observation notes: Fascinating little moth, about 1 cm long, tube-shaped moth, basic color is red shaded to maroon, but the most interesting parts are the shiny, gold bands--two bands, one round the middle of the moth and one around the tail. These areas are so shiny it was difficult to photograph--the remainder of the moth is a dull shade
