Observation notes: Was found in Philadelphia PA. It caught our eye because it was rolling on the ground in a circular motion. The back end of its body stays in the what looks to be the top end of a fir tree. The silky part, where the front comes out is getting longer. We think it is making a cocoon of some sort. We just do not know what type of caterpillar it is. Hoping some one can identify it. Thank you.
