Observation notes: The Metalmark was found along a old ranch road that was weeded over and close to a creek. The weather was mild (low 80's) with some cloud cover. The butterfly was easy to approach and photograph.

Coordinator notes: This is the first sighting of this species put into the BAMONA database sicne 2006. Verified using photos on BAMONA and photos and illustrations in Opler/Wright's "Western Butterflies".
