Observation notes: Large swallowtail flitting among brambles and bushes within a forested marshland.

Coordinator notes: Because of the light color and the fairly wide dark border next to the body, I believe this is P. canadensis, although I would have preferred to also have a ventral view to check for a continuous yellow submarginal band on the FW. This date would be just at the beginning of the Canadian flight period this year; Eastern-- P. glaucus-is already flying as of late April in southeastern MA and the CT river valley.
