Observation notes: I saw this docile, well-camouflaged individual siphoning minerals and resting in a sandy streambed within oak-hickory forest. Location: Chariton Unit of Stephens State Forest. Weather/Conditions: hot (nearly 100 °F), clear, dry, and sheltered from winds. This was one of at least six White-M Hairstreaks I incidentally found in interior-forest habitat during my late afternoon/evening walk at this site.
