Observation notes: Picture one is the caterpillar and picture two is the host plant flower. Caterpillar consumes leaves, buds, and branches. Weather is fair after two months of intermittent rain. The host plant may be some type of milkweed.

Coordinator notes: I am fairly certain of this ID, I know H. lineata is found in Mexico but I am not certain about specific locales within the country. As far as I know, H. lineata is the only Hyles species found in Mexico.
