Observation notes: If my ID this time is correct, I have already submitted two such moths in September. This one seemed worth submission, being distinctively marked, and I was able to get both views when it settled from time to time. There was a similar moth around the porch at the same time which did not spread its wings when it settled. It may have been the same species.
