Observation notes: This giant moth flew into my home through an open window shortly after midnight on a cool summer night. It has a six-inch wingspan! The room was dark except for a dim blue light on an air purifier machine. The light was shining on the ceiling and at first the moth kept banging itself against the area of dim blue light on the ceiling. Then it stopped and rested on the wall. I also have another photo showing the underside of its wing.
