Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I submitted this photo to BugGuide.net and someone identified it as an Abbreviated Button Slug Moth. However, their other examples of this species are from either east coast states or southern states, none from anywhere near MN. So, I'm wondering if this is the correct ID. I looked on BAMONA for this species using the scientific name and the search came up with no matches.

Coordinator notes: The two may be the same moth Tortricidia flexuosa and Tortricidia pallida. After reading from Caterpillars of Eastern North America by David L. Wagner. No real way to tell them apart even genitallia are not conclusive. I went with T. pallida as the moth pictured in MPG resembled yours more closely.
