Observation notes: This moth was attracted to our porch light and remained nearby for at least an hour. It was about 70°F. She was captured and released without injury and displayed two interesting behaviors while briefly jarred. She seemed to play dead for about a minute as seen in the second photo but may have just dazed herself on the glass jar lid. Also just before we released her she stood at the bottom of the jar and vibrated her wings rapidly. Identification would be much appreciated.
