Date notes: I found this catepillar on a cucumber leaf in my garden sometime in the afternoon. it was around 90 degrees farenheit and partly humid.

Observation notes: I found this little dude eating away on a cucumber leaf in the garden. It was a little over 1 inch long. When I went to touch it, one is its horned spines stuck in my finger and it stung mildy for about half an hour. I then let it go back into the garden.
It was a hot and dry September day in a country suburb about 50 miles north east of Atlanta, GA when I found this caterpillar, and it was just sitting on a leaf munching down.
