Observation notes: Same individual as sighting record #698322. The caterpillar was found on 2/3/2012 crawling on a path about 15 to 60 feet from the nearest lupine bush. The caterpillar was raised on some kind of wild perennial lupine.The moth eclosed on 3/3/2012. I believe that date reflects the natural emergence time because I had caught another individual of the same species at a black light the night before.
