Observation notes: Observed flying during the day; appeared disoriented as repeatedly flew in a low spiral into the ground. Brought into shade to photograph. This is the third sighting of a luna moth this year; the others were too battered to photograph. Have been seeing 1-2 lunas per year over the last several, but this is the first photographic evidence I've been able to obtain for submission.
