Observation notes: The insect was trying to perch somewhere undisturbed. It was not actively feeding. This is the Royal Palm Hammock Trail abutting a salt marsh. The weather was in the mid to upper 70s and sunny with few clouds and a slight breeze. The plants are mostly leather and giant swamp ferns, mangroves, royal palms, some oaks, Mikania scandens, Christmas Berry, Myrsine floridana, Marlberry, passionvines, Borrichia frutescens, Symphyotrichum bahamense, Sand cordgrass, Brazilian Pepper, Cissus vines, Muscadine grape, and others.
