Observation notes: These beautiful caterpillars were photographed at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Roosevelt, NJ (Monmouth county),located in central NJ. I don't know the plant species....they were on a small shrub/tree,possibly feeding in a field along a wooded area, and there were many of them present. ( a hatch?)
