Observation notes: The moth alighted on a wooden support beam about 1 foot off the ground on my mother's patio. He remained on the patio in the shade for about 24 hours. As I photographed him, he beat his wings slowly and his torso vibrated. There are two willow trees (about 12 feet in hight) in my mother's garden, that I suspect he fed on as a caterpillar. I was so psyched to see this critter!!!! I shared the photo with anyone and everyone!!!
