Observation notes: Caterpillar appears to have been introduced on a sage plant purchased at a national retailer. Then moved to the Angel Trumpet (Brugmansia) as shown in photo. Is growing apace (now about 2 1/2" long) and fuzz has changed over three hot sunny days from very light gray to much darker gray. Body has transverse stripes of gray and orange, with orange feet. Hair much longer at ends of caterpillar than in middle.
