Date notes: I saw this moth flying Friday night and it was sitting on the side of the house in the shade all day on Saturday.

Observation notes: The body is approximately 2 inches long & apprx 1/2 inch across, furry and black. The wings in the 1st photo are apprx 3 inches across from bottom tip to tip when closed. The wingspan is apprx 5-6 inches when the top wings open to reveal the bottom 2 wings. The legs and antennae are also furry. It flew away when the sun set Saturday evening.
