Observation notes: I arrived at work this morning and something yellow caught my eye in the burning bushes that are planted in beds in front of a veterinary hospital. I don't recall the moth being there on Friday, but it is possible. What I find interesting is that we are surrounded by other buildings and parking lots. There are some woods a distance away, so I am assuming the moth came from there? Seems a long tough journey for a caterpillar to make! I first took a picture standing on the pavement, then I climbed up on the plant bed and got a close up. The moth never really moved much and blended in to the surrounding area very well. I showed all my coworkers and my boss, they all wondered why I was showing them a yellow leaf on the bushes, so it took a bit for people to realize what it was. The weather here is humid, and has been cool and cloudy the past few days...today we are expecting rain. The moth is kind of protected with the overhang of our building.
