Butterflies and Moths of North America

collecting and sharing data about Lepidoptera

  Sighting 540949

Observation date: June 19, 2011
Submitted by: dekbryant
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Weather was about 70 degrees on a sunny afternoon. Insects did not try to fly away, even when my camera was very close to them. Bodies of insects are 'furry' like a moth, but the antennae look more like butterfly antennae than 'feathery' moth antennae.
