Observation notes: at this time there were two egg masses. Later the male came by and they amplexed, or wehatever you call it with moths, and several new egg masses were laid on my exterior door.

Coordinator notes: Larva feeds on many plants, including apple, ashes, basswood, birches, cherries, lilac, maples, sassafras, spicebush, sweet gum, and tulip trees.
