Observation notes: Small, perhaps .5 inches long, .65 inches wide. congregated in bouncing flight over gooseberry bushes in Los Padres National Forest. Antennae are irridescent in flight.

Coordinator notes: This is a beautiful photo of a difficult to find Adela. Note the great long antennae and the markings, which must be photographed perfectly to identify. You did a great job with this one, and it is a great photo! This moth is fairly uncommon and was not described until 1969. Kelly
