Verified date: May 08, 2011
Coordinator notes: This appears to be Apodemia mejicanus deserti which resembles Apodemia mormo. But location (Apodemia virgulti does not range into the eastern Mojave Desert), the April date (mormo flies late summer and fall)argue this is deserti which often feeds on Eriogonum inflatum. Apodemia mormo autumnalis uses E. fasciculatum and may occur at this locality later in the year.
