Observation notes: We found this small branch with a cocoon on a walk on Rich mountain in Jasper, GA in early February 2011. We brought it home and put the twig up in the chandelier over the dining room table. Today (3/23/11) we noticed that it had hatched. We have no idea whether this is a moth or a butterfly.
